Environmental Impact Claims

We are offering businesses the opportunity to explore how practical projects can support their ESG aims and environmental reporting targets (TNFD).

We are currently leading a NEIRF project to explore how 'Impact Claims' could provide the future of how businesses can fund nature projects and claim legitimate impacts for reporting.

Why work with us

1. BioCap is currently the only habitat provider in Berkshire with units ready to purchase. We have a pipeline of named projects providing high quality habitat following the latest Biodiversity Metric.

2. Our relationship with local environmental organisations and government agencies means we are producing units in line with Local Planning Authority (LPA) objectives, clearing the path for planning and creating quality local habitat

3. We can provide end-to-end support for the sale and purchase of Biodiversity units.

4. BioCap has relationships with landowners and partners across West Berkshire covering up to 600ha of land. We are working to establish a regional marketplace for the sale of Biodiversity Units and other natural capital.

5. We don't lease land and farmers retain control of the management.

6. We are a non-profit organisation and a registered charity focussed on bringing people together to achieve a positive impact for wildlife across the UK. Our work involves developing relationships with regional partners and landowners to facilitate improvements to our natural capital, using a balanced approach that includes biodiversity, carbon capture, soil health and water quality.

7. Our experience of land management and access to a pool of experts enables us to create effective initiatives on a landscape scale. We are currently working with the West Berkshire Council, North Wessex Downs AONB, Wildlife Trust, Freshwater Habitats Trust, Action for the River Kennet,  - https://www.westberks.gov.uk/article/41773/Natural-Solutions-Delivery-Partnership

8. The National Coppice Federation, Plantlife, Forestry Commission and other organisations who consult on our projects ensure that our work is feasible, impactful and compliments local strategy and conservation efforts.

Our projects are ready to trade units. Seeds are sown, ponds dug, hedgerows and woodland planted. A mosaic of strategic habitat for wildlife to flourish that also secures the future of the land for 30 years and beyond.
